UNDERSTAND THE NATURE OF LANGUAGE

Language is a tool of communication. Merely a tool to convey pikiran ( mind ), perasaan ( feeling ) and kebutuhan ( needs ). Therefore use of Indonesian from an early age as a communication tool directly. Placing and use it as essentially

A child 10 months old who have not had a means of communication yet, she will cry when she saw the handyman balloon drift. Her communication tool is the "crying". However, two weeks later when she was beginning to recognize words

balon
ibu

So she does not need to cry again, when the handyman balloon drift in front of her, she will use that language as her tool, she would say to her Mother “ Ibu, balon "

Can you catch the meaning from the examples story above ?.If a baby just been trying to use language, even though she had just two words that she have, Why you do not.

I'll bet you have dozens of vocabulary in Indonesian, but as long as you do not use it as essentially as a tool of communication.
If you do not want to promise to do this, forget the ideals you want to be able to speak Indonesian quickly

Personal pronouns should be used carefully

Both saya and aku mean I or me. But aku is only used when speaking to intimate friends only.

Kita means we where the person being spoken too is included, that is I and you.

Kami means we where the person being spoken too is not included, that is I and others but not you.

Aku, engkau, kau, kamu, kalian, are intimate forms, used to children and between equals who have a close relationship with each other. They are sometimes used to younger adults although this always conveys a suggestion of social superiority on the part of the speaker.

Anda is confined to impersonal situations, such as addressing strangers of the same age as or younger than the speaker. It is not widely used in addressing individuals because it does not convey respect. It can not be used by a junior to a senior. It is mostly used in advertisements, public announcements, conferences, and people in gatherings.

Example :

Kenakan sabuk pengaman selama anda duduk.
Fasten your seatbelt while you are seated.

Apakah mesin cuci anda mencemari lingkungan?
Does your washing machine pollute the environment?

Ia and dia mean he or she. Like saya and aku, they are used when speaking to intimate friends only

Beliau carries social connotation, referring to people who are held in high respect.
